Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council is currently holding a public consultation on its Active School Travel initiative which comprises three new pilot cycle/pedestrian routes, to upgrade and connect the existing walking and cycling network in the County. These new, consolidated routes totalling approximately 20 kilometres in length, are aimed at encouraging increased walking and cycling to school, and for wider use by the general public. Several community groups have submitted suggestions and proposals to refine and improve the proposed routes. The consultation will remain open to the public until the 6th November. Detailed maps of the proposed routes and how submit your views on the proposals can be found here.
