Marley Grange Artist Project

Artist Daisy Gaffney is a former resident of Marley Grange and explores themes of nostalgia and emotional memory in her artwork. She recently approached Marley Grange Residents’ Association with the idea of using nostalgia of Marley Grange to produce artwork in a way that may benefit the community in a positive way. The end goal is to create an art publication which will resonate with the people who have experienced the area.

With this in mind, a project has been started to gain a deeper understanding of what the collective nostalgia or emotional memory of the community may be.
We are asking all residents to get involved with the project by helping to participate in a survey. The material gathered in the survey will be distilled into a more refined and common idea of the memories of the participants.  The survey has been created to help the present and past residents to start thinking about the community they live in and what it means to them.

It shouldn’t take too long to complete the survey and we would ask all residents to please partake in the survey. Please start the survey by clicking here.

If you have any supporting material or any old photos of Marley Grange, please let Daisy know through marleygrangeproject@gmail.com.
